2. General processing when visiting the website
When you access the website, technically necessary information is processed. This may include the IP address, date and time of access, the requested address, referrer URL, browser type and version, operating system, and status and error data. Processing serves to provide the website securely, reliably and without errors and to prevent misuse.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and functional operation of the website. Data is stored only for as long as necessary for operation, troubleshooting and security purposes; statutory retention obligations and the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims remain unaffected.
3. Hosting
The website is hosted by Variomedia AG, August-Bebel-Strasse 68, 14482 Potsdam, Germany. The hosting provider processes the technical data necessary to provide and secure the website on our behalf. Further information: Variomedia privacy information.
4. SSL/TLS encryption
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection in particular by the address beginning with https:// and by the lock symbol displayed in the browser.
5. Cookies, consent and Borlabs Cookie
We use Borlabs Cookie to manage and document consent. The technically necessary borlabs-cookie cookie is stored for this purpose. It contains the selection you have made. The consent information is not transmitted to Borlabs solely by this cookie.
The legal basis for operating consent management is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with the requirements governing access to terminal equipment; Art. 61(4)(b) of the Liechtenstein Communications Act (KomG) applies to storage that is strictly technically necessary. Services that are not necessary are enabled only on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 7 GDPR as well as Art. 61(4) KomG.
You can change or withdraw your selection at any time using the “Open privacy preference dialog” button at the bottom of the page. The lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal remains unaffected.
6. Technically necessary services
Polylang
Polylang manages the language versions of the website and may store the selected language on the user’s device. This is necessary to display the language requested by the visitor. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 61(4)(b) KomG.
Wordfence
We use Wordfence to defend against attacks and abusive access. In particular, the IP address, requested address, time, browser information and security-related events may be processed. The provider is Defiant, Inc., USA. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is to protect the website and its users. Further information: Wordfence Privacy Policy.
7. Contact and contact forms
If you contact us using a contact form, by email or by telephone, we process the information you provide in order to handle your enquiry. This may include your name, email address, a voluntarily provided telephone number, subject, message and technical transmission information.
If the enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR is the legal basis. In other cases, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in handling incoming enquiries. The data is deleted once the enquiry has been conclusively dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations or legitimate reasons require further storage.
8. External videos after explicit approval
On the “Concept” page, available video preview images are served locally from this web server. Simply visiting the page therefore does not establish a connection to YouTube or Vimeo.
A first click opens a provider-specific privacy notice. The external player is loaded only when you explicitly agree by selecting “Load YouTube video” or “Load Vimeo video”. From that point onwards, data may be transmitted to the selected provider. Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn for the future through the privacy settings.
YouTube
The provider in the European Economic Area is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. After approval, the IP address, device and browser information, referrer, requested video and your interactions may in particular be processed. Processing in the USA is possible.
The service is enabled on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 61(4) KomG. Further information: Google Privacy Policy.
Vimeo
Vimeo.com, Inc., 330 West 34th Street, 10th Floor, New York, NY 10001, USA, is responsible for the embedded interview. The Vimeo player is loaded only after your explicit approval. In particular, the IP address, device and browser information, referrer, requested video and your interactions may then be processed.
The service is enabled on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 61(4) KomG. Further information: Vimeo Privacy Policy.
Locally hosted Google Fonts
The Google fonts used on this website are hosted locally on our own web server. Displaying these fonts alone does not establish a connection to Google servers.
9. Storage period
Unless a specific period is stated in this privacy policy, we store personal data only for as long as the respective purpose continues to apply. It is then deleted or anonymised unless statutory retention obligations, security interests or legal claims require longer storage. Where external providers process data under their own responsibility after you have given consent, their privacy information also applies.
10. Recipients
Personal data is disclosed only to parties that require it for the purposes described. These include the website operator, processors such as the hosting provider and, after you have given consent, the respective external providers that you enable. Any further disclosure takes place only where a legal basis exists.
11. Your rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have in particular the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority for the website operator is the Data Protection Authority of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Kirchstrasse 8, PO Box 684, FL-9490 Vaduz, www.datenschutzstelle.li.
12. Updates to this privacy policy
We update this privacy policy when the website, the services used or the legal requirements change.
