Fit for an entire lifetime
My grandmother and my parents have given me the opportunity to do horse riding as a competitive sport at a very young age. I am still very grateful for this.
At the end of my vocational training or studies, I have switched to golf. In addition, I am passionate about skiing. And anyone who knows me knows that running is my another passion. I have done several marathons and ultras. Before the marathon in Berlin in 2018, however, I made a clear decision. I will complete the chapter “Marathon and more” after more than 15 years. It was an exciting period in my life. At dozens of running events in various countries, I got to know interesting people and extraordinary personalities – so, for example, the Olympic champion of 2016 and marathon world record holder Eliud Kipchoge with his impressing result of 02: 01.39 hours.
There is an interesting analogy regarding marathons and referral marketing:
“Referral Marketing is not a sprint, it’s a marathon.”
For both stamina beats speed.
Although the topic of marathons is not anymore on top of my list, running still continues to be an important element of my health and fitness program. I very much enjoy training and competitions with friends but it became more fun and less competitive.
And last but not least, I made a very useful decision at the age of 54. I have started kickboxing with my friend Marko Rajkovic a former world champion owning now a very prestigious fitness club in Munich. It is very challenging and helps me to act and think even more focused and strategic.
